Producer/Director Sanford Lewis. Sanford is a nationally-known environmental attorney with
over 20 years’ experience in toxics and corporate accountability issues. Sanford is counsel for nonprofits and investors seeking to promote the substitution of safer alternatives to dangerous chemicals, including pesticides. His clients include Health Care Without Harm, the Massachusetts Alliance for a Healthy Tomorrow, and the International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal. Sanford was the founder of the Good Neighbor Project, through which he developed and implemented a new model of direct negotiations between community groups and neighboring companies. He was the producer and director of Strategic Video’s prior productions, and has a JD from University of Michigan Law School and a BS in environmental science and urban communications from Cook College, Rutgers University.Producer/Writer Jody Shapiro, Ph.D. Jody is an educator, writer, and interviewer. Prior to
joining Strategic Video, she was the Publisher of respected public policy and politics magazine Boston Review, and a marketing strategist for award-winning environmental magazine Orion. Jody earned her doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania, and is on the adjunct faculty of the Religion Department at Amherst College; she has previously been a visiting scholar at Princeton University and Rutgers University, and taught anthropology at Drew University and Brandeis University. Her book Women in the Presence: Constructing Community and Seeking Spirituality in Mainline Protestantism is published by the University of Pennsylvania Press. Jody was the scriptwriter for the Strategic Video production For Your Baby’s Sake.
